And the winner is.... oh and a WIP update.

It has been a little while since I have posted an update, so here it is. The next build will be the MG Strike Freedom! Not sure about colors or anything yet, just started the snap fit seems like all the other Seed kits I have built very aggressive looks, and frame other than being gold is basically the same as the Impulse. The only color I intend to keep the same is the gold frame.

On another note, I have completed the priming of the Dom and have started the masking/painting process. It is so humid here I am having to let the paint set for 24 hours to ensure it is fully cured. No pictures or sneak peaks of this guy though. I am hoping to have it all done by mid week. After the clean paint and photos are done I am going to try my hand at weathering this guy. Should be a fun learning experience.

Until next time....

Rick Dom WIP 8 Plating done!

MY GOODNESS!!!! I am finally done Pla-Plating this guy! I don't know what more to say. I am seriously happy to be done with that part! Now final planning on the paint scheme and priming this weekend. I will let the photos do the talking, this Gundam was a true test of my abilities now I can only push further.

I hope you like what you see. Not sure if I am going to do a full reassemble after priming or not. I normally don't.

Rick Dom WIP 7

A small update to prove I am moving forward with my new found addiction to Pla-plate. I am trying to give Dc23 a run for his money LOL. I finished one leg and one arm, there is still clean up sanding to be done, but I do that all in one step as wet sanding tends to get a little messy. Hope you like what you see.

Incase you recognize that bazooka, your rights its from the Gundam Unicorn, I didnt use it on that Gundam, so I found a use for it here. It has way better detailing than the ones that come with the Dom.

Thats all for now, I will be plating all weekend at least to get this finished, but I know in the end it will be worth and and hopefully fill my need to heavily modify one of these guys, this has really been a challenging build for me!

Surprise RG Zaku completed!

Well I got tired of doing the pla-plate on the Dom, so I completed the snap fit on this guy. Once that was done I got the idea that my wife should choose the color scheme for this guy. I didn't do any extra detailing on the RG, they have a lot of details already, and honestly the 1/144 guys are just too small for me to work with. Respect to those of you that do a lot of modifications on the HGs, and other 1/144 scale Gundam. The decals on this thing must have been inspired by Ka! There are a ton of them!
Any way, here is the RG Zaku Ver Tem/wifey :) Its an interesting color scheme for sure. I didn't do a lot of posing with it because I intend to use it with the RG 78 and have it kicking that guy in the chest! So I am not going to risk chipping the paint.

The super glue I had to use on the eye decal hazed inside the head. I am not happy about that!

Mysteriously one of the decals on the back of the leg is missing, not sure how or when that happened?!? Oh well nothing can be done to fix that now.

My foot in your chest....ooh

The Dom is back in the get it done window now. Hope you like how the RG came out.
