The O WIP Kind of.

I am going to let you think about these pieces. I will tell you that I am stealing from my MG Freedom which I completely botched the paint job on (painted it on the runners with a cheap airbrush. So the frame and some other pieces are ruined). The O is massive, but so under powered offensively. So I am making him better in my opinion any way. Not going to tell nor show how or where I am going to implement these tools of destruction. Just a tease into the final shape.

A new look, and some added friends.

As you can clearly see I have updated the look of my blog. I feel it is more fitting to where I came from; Washington State. Filling a little niche inside me that is home sick for a familiar place. Plus I like the mountain in the background.

I have also added some outstanding Gunpla builders to my list of blogs. They are some of the most talented people I have ever had the pleasure of viewing their works.

As always work on The O continues, there will be more updates on that behmoth soon.

The O WIP 2

All right I can already tell you that the WIP updates for this guy are going to be SLOW!!! The detailing on this guy is unbelievably time consuming but so very worth it!

As you can see one leg is done and one is not. Well done with the scribing, the rivets I have yet to start on these pieces.
The chest is all scribed, I do not intend on using pla-plate like I normally do; any pla-plate will be used to add full plating and even then I am doubtful I will use any at all.

As you can see above the butt plate here is all scribed out and ready for rivet treatment....now below you can see the rivet treatment with all the measurements and hand drilling each hole this piece alone took me 3+ hours.

I think that the final look is awesome though. It really has the heavy armor plating look to it. Needless to say it will be a few days until I am ready to update again.

RX-0 Unicorn Gundam

What a fun kit to build and modify, I really tested a lot of my abilities and put some new ones to work as well. There are a few imperfections here and there, but I hope at least as I continue to build you are noticing less and less every time. I went with the suggestion of making this guy permanently destroy modded out. By cutting away some areas I gave way to more of the underlying armor pieces to be seen. The paint scheme is an Urban Tactical one. Granted it would be hard to hide any where in destroy mode, but who cares...its not like were talking about reality here. The Guns are still in work and will be a little while as I have to find the patience to mask them, I don't have that today anyway. I barely beat the rain while taking pictures as it was. Hope you enjoy.

The O is in work, more updates soon!

Unicorn.....Almost complete

Well the wait is almost over! I just completed the decals on the MG Unicorn. Some times custom just equals a lot of extra thought. Mindless copy and paste of the decals per the directions is so much fast, but not my style (darn my style). Just need to get the clear coat done now; I hope that the weather holds for me tomorrow so I can get the it done.

The winning color scheme is an Urban Tactical one, modified the outer armor so that there is extra destroy mode exposed. So needless to say my Unicorn will never be a true Unicorn. I like Destroy mode anyway, and I see no need to swap between modes once positioned and on its stand.

Hope to have the photos posted Saturday night or Sunday morning.

The Unicorn is painted

While there are no photos....because I do not want any one to see it in its final color scheme until I am 100% done with it. The body is done and panel lined. Decals will be started tomorrow, along with starting on the weapons. I am taking my time on them to ensure some interesting results. Needless to say I did not go with a traditional color scheme on this guy at all!

An update to ensure peaked curiosity. It will be a good one trust me!

The O, supplies have arrived!

No major updates to The O build, just a good day at the post office. 300 sanding sticks and Doc O'Brian's Weathering Powders via Micromark.
Really just a glimpse into the plan for this guys paint scheme. It is going to be different than my normal ones, not that I ever stick to normal. Its so boring and well its been done by others.

Have a great one. Keep building!

The O WIP 1

As you can see The O is snap fitted, Typhoons give you a lot of time to do things like that. This dude is impressive to say the least. And after seeing the snap fit I decided that this was going to be the gundam I push my skills on more than I usually do.
I love the Waist (crotch) arms. Something I have not seen before on a Gundam and something that I doubt I will see again anytime soon.

A lot of empty space on this guy so a lot of space to do as I want. The basic plan for this guy is a tank style build with rivets along all the panels so to say the least I need to hold back on panel lining to a degree, and it is going to be a slow process building this guy!
The end result will be worth it though.

Here you can see some of the details I have done so far; there is a lot of clean up as always, but every build it gets less and less so that is nice.
I have started to do some filling in of mistakes and lines I didn't like already.
I am in the very early stages of adding some flair to this guy also. Not going to give it all away so soon, but to say the least The O is the biggest MG I have built so I am making it bigger because, well I want to.

Where does this go you ask, well you can find out later. :) Hope you enjoyed.
