Sword Impulse, Destiny Ver Tem

Here it is the finished Sword Impulse. My friend wanted a dark build, not my normal style, so I took the challenge. I used silver in the frame to give it some pop, and break it away from the dark colors of the panels. I mixed a yellow and over sprayed some copper on it to give a metallic final look to the yellow. It also darkened the color some.

I used the Destiny's decals mostly for the gold and silver on the sheet.

Not a lot of need for more words here. The pictures are why you are here any way.

There you have it the MG Sword Impulse Destiny Ver Tem. Hope you like it. C/C welcome as always. Whats next you ask? Here is a sneak peak. This build is all my choice...so its going to be an interesting one.

Sword Impulse WIP...3?

The build and details are done, now to prime!!! I took some quick snaps of this guy prior to breaking him down for paint. In case you are wondering, no I didn't build this guy in three days. I have been working on him since December on and off. I haven't made it a priority until I got the PG's I was building done.

Anyway, here is the unpainted Sword Impulse Ver Tem.

Below everything is broke down to be primed and painted. This is a build for a friend so I have some choice in the colors, but some were dictated to me.

The frame is going to be a light color (I have never done that before) I will be painting Tire Black for the white parts, after panel lining I will be spraying the black so its a flat color. I'll be using the Copper color to offset the black, the reds will be glossy to stand out from the flat, the little details will be the dark yellow color (same one I used on The O). There you have it, my color choices and where I am at. Hope you like it.

As always keep building!

What have I done!!!

Unlike what that title says it was all intentional. For the first time I have decided to go beyond cutting small holes and scribing I have dove into the realm of Cutting. What a wonderful place it is when it is called for. This is the leg to my Sword Impulse. It is going to be a dark color scheme, so I am not scribing a lot of line details in because they would just get lost in the dark colors. That being the case. I thought that I should continue my trend of pushing my skills. This did it.

Its nothing major, just a split on one of the panel seams. I then cut away small portions to expose more of the frame which on this guy will be a lighter color than the body will be. I did cut out small sections also to keep the aggressive look of the Seed series Gundams. I am going to be adding pla-plate to this guy for sure. With added pla-plate there is less need for panel lines as well. Some days I like to create a lot more work for myself. Oh well, it'll look good in the end. I hope.

There you have it, day one of detailing the Sword Impulse and I am already making it look better. I am excited to get home and work on the PG Raiser, but until then this guy will enjoy being worked on.
Keep building!

Sword Impulse Snap fit complete. PG Raiser Update.

All right. Nothing like a long vacation to give you time to relax and neglect things!

As the title says over the holidays I snap built the Sword Impulse (MG) that I am building for a friend, and continued to scribe the PG Raiser. The Sword Impulse had to get done before my flight back home as I needed the suitcase room!

The Sword Impulse was a super fun build, pretty much an identical build to the Impulse, but that is to be expected. As I said I am building this for a friend so the color scheme was chosen for me, but it will be a challenge none the less. There is a lot of room to do some really cool things with this guy though, so I will have to sit down and make some decisions before starting anything. The PG Raiser is first on the list though!

The colors requested are gloss red and flat/matte black, I think I am going to leave the blue in there and make it a really dark metallic blue, but that one is still in the idea stages. But with out delaying here are the pictures.
In the series this Gundam come in multiple pieces. Once it is painted I will not be transforming it, so I thought now was the best time. Its pretty cool, and it is tempting to build one just for this form, but who knows.

I will post some pictures up of the PG soon, its pretty much your basic draw line, dymo tape line, scribe line. Nothing too interesting. Hope everyone had a great holiday and here's to a great new year!
