Warhammer 40k Lucius the Eternal

My paints came in Friday! Got to love that timing. That being the case and my realization that I am hopefully leaving Okinawa with in the next two months. I am hesitant to finish my huge resin booster Gundam and then ship it assembled across the ocean so it can be broken. That being said I am going to focus on miniatures until I am back in the US. They are small I have a carrying case coming for them that I can put in the mail and ship back a day or so before I leave here.... So with new paints comes the chance to challenge myself. And so here I am working on my very first full metal kit. what a fun set up and assembly it was. A little different for sure. I had to work the metal  a little bit, but for the most part it was really easy going. I am really a huge fan of the Vallejo colors I got. I tested them against the Games workshop colors and I like the coverage and ability to really thin them out more. But enough of this talk.
I based the model in black after priming it in grey. (only decent primer available here)

Here you can see I have completed most of the painting of the large sections. Just need to work in some details.

And now presenting: Lucius the Eternal!!!!!! Really a lot of fun painting it. A ton of tiny details to get in there. I did it all with Vallejo game colors and secret weapon washes.

That's what I have done so far. I am 90% on my first Necron Warrior. Testing the color scheme on that one before I do a mass paint. As always thanks for stopping by.
